Provincial government announces support to help get small business back to business

Small business will be a huge part of the recovery in Alberta, and these are the businesses that are most at risk of failure right now. Alberta is at a tipping point as the reopening continues, when many small businesses will have an important window of time to get their operations back running in the new normal.

Today’s new $5,000 support grant is welcome news for many of Alberta’s 160,000 businesses to help them get back to business. Forgivable support, like the grant announced today, was the top thing Alberta small businesses said would help them remain viable in the next 3 months, according to a recent survey conducted by our partners at the Alberta Chambers of Commerce.
